The Winners for the traveling award for APSTH-JSTH joint symposium.

We have chosen 4 young investigators out of more than 30 abstracts for the traveling award to present their papers in the APSTH/JSTH joint session during the annual meeting of the Japanese Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (JSTH) (May 21 – 23, 2015, Yamanashi, Japan).

Their names and the presentation titles are:

Li Teng Khoo (Malaysia),
Subfraction B, a potential anticoagulant agent, fractionated from Melastoma malabathricum Linn. leaf hot water extract

Aizhen Yang (China),
Coagulation Factor XII interaction with apoptotic cells via phosphatidylserine medhiates the procoagulant activity

Davia Rabbolini (Australia),
DNA-based diagnosis of uncharacterised inherited macrothrombocytopenias using next generation sequencing thchnology
and a candidate gene array

Lan Wang (China),
Risk factors associated with long-term mortality in patients with non-massive pulmonary embolism

We will continue to have the APSTH/JSTH joint symposium in the annual meeting of JSTH in Japan every year, to which we invite 3 to 6 young investigators from Asian-Pacific countries, and we hope you will encourage your colleagues and friends to apply for this scholarship on the next occasion.
